... the thing I wonder (and of course can't even propose to know the answer because I don't have the data) is how much is the market, and how much is execution. After all, out of the gate (KS and early sell-outs) SGN appeared pretty popular (was it?)

So the questions linger. Didn't Ares foresee the "collectibility gap"? Did they give any thought to addressing it? After the mast issues were solved, could they found a way to dig deep and do something great to reenergize people, instead of taking a hiatus?

It is what it is, I hope they keep plugging along and I will buy whatever they come out with. Maybe their C&C add-on will be way cooler than I'm imagining and I will get re-inspired. My enthusiasm has ebbed from what it was, but I'm pretty busy now anyway. When I have time to be creative, to the extent I feel like applying that creativity to SGN, I will continue working on my card campaign, which can work fine with the ships we have.

Fred, if I can get Ares to bite on the Indian Ocean Campaign that should be quite a bit of inspiration. :) I just need to find a suitable "prelude" while Suffren was on his way to India for a sixth engagement. Too bad Ares doesn't have the slightest interest in an Organized Play program... it'd make a great yearlong campaign.

It was my intention to do this theater of combat from the start DB.
Small numbers needed and the chance to introduce the iconic HEIC into the mix, was just up my street.

At long last, the shipment with USS Constitution and HMS Victory has been delivered to our warehouse!

Shipments to our Kickstarter backers who are waiting for them will begin in earnest.

Those backers waiting for replacement wooden rulers will receive them together with these ship packs.

Thanks for your patience, and we look forward to the completing of this last and final step of our Sails of Glory Kickstarter
    Ares have them!

Hi eric, hope you are well. Ive been suffering with acute labarynthitis, sounds weird i know. Basically my left inner ear has caused me to lose alot of my balance and spacial awareness. Sort of like a great many lady drivers reverse parking in a car park! Hey dont tell the wife! Lol. Im getting better VERY slowly, which is kinda stressful in itself.
Still things happen , and im gritting my teeth and bearing it.

    Yes he is.

After 3 tries and no winner I'll settle for the closest.
So Steve (Popsical), email me your full name and address with the eligible ship that you want.

PS I will check the ship and packaging before I send it, but if it gets damaged in transit, I can't be responsible for it.

    Hey there Jonas.
I chose Prosperine. The reason being, to balance my french and british fleets for my games versus my daughter.
    She has:
    HMS Victory (waiting)
the two from the starter set
    The Black Pearl

    My French are:
    Orient
the two from the starter set
    Prosperine (just won)

    Cheers to all!

The basic points weigh it slightly in my favour, but to not use Nelson with the Victory seems awful, so it should play out well.
Also my little girl will want to use the cards provided by the wonderful Eric to represent Captain Jack Sparrow on the Black pearl, so im in for a right old scrap.

I'm glad you received the Proserpine in good condition Steve.

Seven days from Arizona to Sweden. Not bad.

Just curious, did you have to pay any surcharge on postage?
