Hi Folks,

We're planning Origins 2015. This coming year, I will run five games - two 2-hour introductory games and three 3-hour intermediate games. As I work out the scenario mechanics, I will post here accordingly.

Did someone say gold? British frigates attempt to capture French frigates carrying gold across the sea in this introductory Sails of Glory game; prior experience is not required. Thu 10:00 (2)

A storm is coming. Can British ships sink their French adversaries before they reach port and safety from a coming storm? Though prior experience is beneficial, this clash is accessible to new and experienced players alike. Thu 7:00 (3)

Breakout. French ships attempt to break free from a British blockade. An introductory Sails of Glory game, this scenario does not require any prior experience. Fri 10:00 (2)

The fog of war. One does not always know where the enemy is. As fog gives way to clearer skies, British and French forces find themselves in a deadly dance. Surprises await as captains discover if they are in the midst of enemy ships, close by to their own, or standing far from the center of action. Though an intermediate Sails of Glory game, beginners are very welcome; what better way to learn than diving into the deep end (insert evil laugh). Sat 9:00 (3)

Capture the spy. Among a group of British ships is a spy carrying vital intelligence. The French desire to capture the spy to learn what he knows, but they have orders to stop the spy from reaching England at all cost. Maneuvering and ammo selection is vital in this intermediate Sails of Glory game fought among a group of islands; beginners are welcome. Sat 1:00 (3)
