So when do they have the mutiny? :)

And when do they get a pic of Emma Watson being on-board? ;)

as I recall there's been some debate about the bright colors on the SGN ships. But this one seems to match the SGN version pretty closely. Is it controversial?

    Thats a good question!
The problems seems to be that in our days we have no real info which colours the ships had in their history.
Also the most ships had different colours in different times of their life.

Thanks for the pictures and links, Jörg. The Captain's Chronicle blog has some interesting info and pictures.

Hermione is currently undergoing sea trials. The article I saw mentioned that she is scheduled to recreate Lafayette's voyage to the US next year.

Constitution is going into drydock in 2015. Maybe someone in charge was communicating and she won't go in until after Hermione sails into Boston in April !! Might be too much to ask for....

Bobby, that comment was meant as a combo of "on top of all his OTHER irritations" and "I'm surrounded by..." O.O

    Those propellers are really disappointing.
    Freds right, thats cheating.
If a lone british lady can sail around the globe, why do dozens of frenchmen need to cheat across the pond?
    Meh!

Not really -- not nearly violent enough. The body count in the last book alone should have been in the thousands. "Oh, look -- bunch of flying Death Eaters." [DISPEL MAGIC] " o/~ I'm learnin' to fly/ But I ain't got wings/ And comin' down/ Is the hardest thing... o/~ " [SPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLAT] >:)

The SO's interest is only in terms of what you see on that webpage -- The SO is a Linguistics Fan, and going through the novels and seeing what the various names actually meant was fun for her.

I think you answered your question.

I imagine folks want to safeguard their investment. It will be interesting to see how often they have to rely on these.

I know in the US that in order to get USCG certification to carry passengers you have to have an auxiliary engine and watertight bulkheads among other safety requirements. Plus one must meet modern notions of timetables.

Yup -- but that's been covered extensively; no one was doing anything with Rowling's work.

The Hermione, which had the mutiny, Chris, was a different ship. It was H.M.S. Hermione.
