In the 'Drome solo campaigns, the pilot is the crew. Here, the two are separate, so differentiating between them makes sense prima facie. This first campaign is a good opportunity to play test rules regarding the crew skill schema. If the schema makes sense, let's try it; if it doesn't, we can forego it from the start.
