    Default Deluxe table

Came across this image over at BGG. Couldn't help but drool a little.

Awesome table and of course an excellent game they're playing on it. The GeekChic folks are at GenCon every year. Gorgeous stuff, but really expensive, and I think their waiting list is quite long on top of that? Thanks Paul!

Fine looking furniture, but yes they are very pricey.

They are at Origins each year as well. They put some of their tables out in the hotel lobby for people to just come and play one. Very nice stuff, but a tad overpriced.

That and the cost of putting an addition on the house to properly accommodate such a fine gaming table.

Nice table, but there is no chance to play a Global Axis & Allies 1940 on it.

I saw a video on their tables. Beautiful stuff.

Perhaps even a bit more elegant than my $49.99 folding table from target

Try the cost of BUILDING a house to properly accommodate it... it's not the kind of thing that would fit well in either the house I presently live in or the one I'm gradually moving into. :(

I keep trying to tell Robert with Geek Chic he could just leave a display at my house, instead of shipping them to and from Origins each year!

Friend of may parents was a woodworker -- he built himself a table with drop-leaves at the ends, *and* the ability to add sections in the middle. He had a table which could seat 20 people, and still could be moved through a normal doorway. Something like that would be really useful for gamers....

Years ago, some fellow said he picked up a folding ping pong table for a song at a garage sale and it worked great.

Over in the Aerodrome there is this link to a Kickstarter project for folding cardboard gaming tables.

I do not know how durable they might be.

And a bit pricy for cardboard.

    Speaking of fancy tables:

The table in our dining room has a 0,95 m (38") width and I'm able to expand the table from 1,80 m (71") to 2,60 m length (102").

That's when we play WoG, Axis & Allies 1940 (Global) or Twilight Imperium 3rd edition with 7-8 players.

It's ok if you can place the whole gaming surface on the table, but you need place to put the additional stuff on, too. (consoles, money, troops, cards, etc...)

Just think of all the games, miniatures and vacations to battlefields you can buy for the difference!

Has anyone played Sails of Glory on a 'Billy Yard' table?
