I just "invested" (it was super cheap) in a new and larger storage system. I found interlocking plastic tubs with a carrying handle (and tall enough to fit the masts) and lined them with soft, grippy drawer liner cut to size. I can tip the whole contraption more than 45 degrees without ships falling. I think the whole setup maybe cost me $10-12?
