    Default Essen 2013

The owner of my favourite German online boardgame shop made a picture of the starter set and the boxes of the ship packs.

I don't know if these are KS exclusive ship packs or series I ship packs, but they look nice.

The SoL packs (right side) are bigger.

My Brother-in-law took some pictures for me ate the Spiel 2013

Although not his theme, he admired the artwork and I have to second him on that.

Rulers look to be color coded for distance? Are these the final production rulers?

Oh, and thanks for the pictures!!!

Agreed. This waiting is beginning to drive me batty. Congrats on getting a demo in, too.

Imagine your prey just out of range but close enough to easily see and slowly maneuvering closer and the endless waiting for the engagement to begin.

I think we're beyond this point, Paul.

Sighted already threads about, WW II tanks, Star Trek, Hitler-Cats, etc...

Must be a kind of seasickness.

lol. I've just gone back to my 1/1200 ship constructions. It occupies the mind and fills the time.

    Hi Ulrich,

I have a second picture where you are better visible. I decided not show this in order not to infringe on your personality rights (without knowing it was you) and content is pretty much the same as the picture was only shot seconds before the other one.

I hope you enjoyed the game and the fair. I wish I could have been there.

Yes, the card rulers are color coded to match the damage counters. I thought this was a nice move by Ares and the team.

That starter set looks like it would make a great present!
Here's hoping for strong favorable currents from China!

Seeing all these pictures, it all seems so close now. i second the wish for favourable currents. I also hope that when they ship to England from the US, they use airmail for that last leg and not a hulking slow container ship. I suspect that a container ship is most likely though.

Don't worry, the cargo is wooden ships. They'll float!
