Origins 2013 - Saturday Noon

The Saturday Noon demo was slightly different. Both French frigates were no longer directly across from the British 3rd rates. A good thing for me, actually, since I decided to take one of the British frigates. Not that I would plan going toe-to-toe with a 3rd rate anyway, but things don't always go as planned.

And this is with the good camera again, so you should be able to right click these pics and "view" to get a really big picture.

A few turns into the game, and I have managed to work my frigate upward, about 1/3 of the way up the table, much to the chagrin of my fellow frigate captain, who seemed bound and determined to go fight a 3rd rate.

Those certainly are superb islands. More variety than I have seen before, and did i spot a volcano there?
Great for the Carib, Indian Ocean or around Sicily in the Med.
Must have a serious look at what is available, this winter.

A Third Rate ought to beat up a frigate every time, unless the frigate gets in some good stern rakes.
