I have been lucky thanks to David to have seen a number of games and played one game of SOG. One could mix SOG ships and 1-1200 ships It does not look so wrong. If you add (not GLUE) a thicker base with all the information for SOG (it would have to be a little wider for the bigger ships) on it to a 1-1200 ship. It would help. So they are not the end of the world.
