Good question. I usually hit the completed models with dull coat (I use a Krylon matt sealer vs. Testors), maybe in this case I'll hit the ratlines first.
I need to get a needle tip for my glue...
Here is a photo of the ratlines sprayed with regular Rust-oleum flat black. This is a ratline for a SOL (SN104). I did a couple of quick passes over each side.

Nice. I am going to try the Rust-Oleum flat black this weekend. I think I'll have a can of compressed air standing by in case I spray too heavily!
I am going to try the black Krylon spray primer first. A careful lightly sprayed coat of course! I'll let you know how it turns out.....
I will second Keith on these - awesome detail and they turned out great. Now to get the time to sit down and start rigging ships!!

Excellent! Thanks Keith!
They look good and so does the price!
I'd buy at least 10 sets to start with.
Is this a good question for a Poll?

Looking at the pictures of the models that Keith posted I think that if you rig backstays to the mast tops that dead space will be covered.
I would not have a problem with the shrouds covering the...
Here is my .02c on this issue. I am with David and Mad Hatter on the accuracy of the placement, ie; placing the top of the ratlines/shrouds inboard of the tops. Also on my 1/1200 models I never...
