The trouble is you're changing a "sailing game into the equivalent of a power boat game".
Experienced Captains wouldn't have the instantaneous knowledge of what the opposing ship was doing like we have in the game. It takes time to send orders to make changes to the sails. It's very noisy...
One card equals instant change something these 18th century ships couldn't come close to doing.
Problem is there is more information on the rulers then just distance.
No.
Undoubtedly you are correct. I do know he's making them since he had a couple when we played SOG Saturday before last. So it shouldn't be long.

What do they do about having to use manpower for reload?
I got lucky with my Mats I ordered 4 extra to go with my Captain's and they fit almost perfectly in a box.
What a bunch of BS. First this was something the Ares warehouse people had never done before The people in Ares warehouse were never trained in mass shipments.. Second I've worked in a USAF Supply...
April 21. Thanks!
Of course the the killing of the crew represents making the crew completely ineffective to handle the ship not actually the killing off of all of the crew.
My Captain's pledge was shipped 26 Dec. and my mats got shipped 7 Jan.

There's always Ebay. I lost interest in Ogre KS when it was a year late so my 2 copies of Ogre KS went to Ebay as soon as they arrived. Made about $90 over cost.
No source but they are publishing a fair amount of new Car Wars right now.
Although it looks like Steve Jackson games may have changed their minds.
I believe Car Wars will be restarted this year with a KS.
I've played/owned Midway and Borodino at one time. Unfortunately I was in the USAF and single which meant shipping to isolated tours meant low weight and selling stuff.
I got my Ogre KS only about 13 months late. 3 weeks before this one came so Ogre went on Ebay nice $90 profit. I truly only needed one new game at a time.
Keith on the foam is there a way you could have an inset above the ship to put it's cards?
Thanks for posting all of the interesting history!!
Hey Keith guess what I got today without an e-mail. My Captan's KS but no mats.
Keith I volunteer to test the new packing and box. :)
