Thanks! Well... here's hoping I've got the new ships and the updated ruler later today!
Does anyone know if the V&C are shipping from Fort Wayne, IN? I got a UPS notification yesterday and I'm not expecting any other shipments...
For now, they will stay in the original packaging. At some point, I will ditch the original packaging and begin using something that can carry all of my ships in a single carton/box/container.
I was just looking for a stain that wasn't too dark and wasn't too light - I didn't go in with any particular wood type in mind, just a shade that I thought would hopefully match my mental image of...
I used the ACE Hardware oil-based wood stain. I just got the 1/2 pint of Colonial Maple and then used Krylon acrylic spray clear coat.
Thanks! I considered using inks or paint for the detail, but the thin leaded mechanical pencil seemed to do the trick.
For reference, here is how my attitude indicator came out after application of some pencil lead and a some 'colonial maple' wood stain...8774
Just snow for the next few days (4-6 inches). The Temp will dip on Saturday night, but nice enough on Saturday AM for me to go out ice fishing.
Seconded!! I played my first game with my son and the game ended up being a 'three point turn fest' with a significant amount of red cards being played. We are both new to AoS games and I'd love to...
Just wondering... Are folks gluing the two pieces of the AA Wooden Attitude Indicator together or just assembling the two pieces each time they play?
The updated ruler looks great! (Mind you...so did the old ruler!)
Ok... I've gotten the rare earth magnets working on one of my frigates, but... too much work when I could just use rubber cement/attitude glue. The magnets work, but there is just too much...
Aw Man! You had to go and make life easier for us! I was already creating a sheet styrene jig so I could drill the magnet holes in the same location on all bases/ships. I may still give it a shot...
I've got some rare earth magnets that I plan on using to try to steady the ship on the base. I'll post an update/picture once I have some results.
Congratulations Ryan!
What level did you back at?
My Lt. package arrived this afternoon.
I'm having a real hard time with that response. If anyone received the retail packaging for the mats at a given pledge level, I think that all backers should then receive retail packaging. In my...
May 15th, please.
Keith: Has the initial response/interest in the ratlines been what you had expected? Seems like a fair number of folks are looking forward to them.
I've used similar methods for carting GW (fragile plastic skeletons) and Dystopian Wars models and was able to use sterilite/plastic boxes with a piece of metal sheeting at the bottom. I've been...
I think that might work well! You can buy rare earth magnets in all sorts of width/height and I bet you could find one to fit near perfectly.
