It is definitely nice to understand your opponent, Rob. I've experienced a similar shift to Spain in Pirates of the Cursed Seas, so I won't be surprised if I do switch from France.

I just had a mast break on me (fixed it with a dab of kragle) and I got to thinking about rigging my ships and was curious if doing so strengthens the models, or if it just adds aesthetic appeal?
I've taken a liking to France, though I may be swayed to the Spanish side once my Santa Ana arrives in the mail.
I may not participate, but I do enjoy reading the AARs, so I cast my vote for "Yes" to a campaign this coming year.
War junks would definitely be nice to see, especially the larger ones like the Baochuan.
I thought it was three. Besides, she ended up repairing one soon after, nor is OTK any fun.
I just updated the first post with a report of the second game. Pictures still being edited.
I don't know, Rob. But I would suggest using her as-is in a game first.
Well, as I'm sure you've seen in my latest AAR, France sent the Constitution to her watery grave.
After-Action Thoughts:
-Fires, leaks, broken masts, etc, are actually pretty balanced when you plan actions to prepare for them.
-Remaining action slots in the Planning Phase should have Repair or...

I invited my friend Caleb over to play Sails of Glory this evening (he had a blast the last time we played), and we managed to have enough time two play two games. (I will be reserving the next two...
Here's hoping; I really want to find a Captain/Crew deck.
She will certainly do a great job of that, Rob. I quite enjoyed sailing her around.
I was using the solo-play movement chart from the files section. I really enjoy it, though it is sometimes difficult to determine which quadrant a ship is actually in.
Just some after-action...

Mr. President,
It gives me great honor to be able to report, on this the evening of September 21, that two English frigates, His Majesty's Ships Meleager and Cleopatra, now rest at the bottom of...
This was a four-player game with each player controlling one frigate. Time was kind of an issue, but we also wanted to include several of the optional rules. So, here were the conditions:
Optional...
According to [this article] on National Geographic, it seems that Blackbeard's ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, has been discovered, and confirmed, off the coast of Virginia. Pretty exciting stuff!
See, that's part of the dilemma I'm having: by adding a second set, the initial probabilities remain the same, but the chances of drawing higher value damages together do increase.
So, I have a dilemma. The damage counter bags I ordered just came, and they feel a little empty with only one set of counters. Should I add my second set? Or do you think that would mess with the...
That is also a suggestion, though I might keep the tokens but simply ignore the special damage (rather than risk losing them).
So many things to try.
I'm thinking about going through and editing them. I'll have plenty of time this weekend. And hopefully I can post an AAR about player vs player action in the coming week.
The problem was Goliath took two fire damage (which should actually be a low chance since there's only 3 in any given damage type). She had the crew actions to jump on it immediately, but fighting...
