If you're interested in dual scale action u may wish to look up Broadsides and Boarding Parties (it comes w 2 tiny ships and larger scaled ones with crew, unfortunately OOP). Battle damage (kills, ...
Go for it! :-)
Mommy always joins us for coffee. So 3 of us in a 4 seat table. 2 seats for the board, 1 for mommy and the remaining space for food & drinks. Also try to keep the game to an hour... thats why War at...
The islands are air dried clay. Very easy to make.
This is a portable modular tile set we made for naval games. It packs into an A3 sized carrier

Just ebay i think. Can't remember, so many online shops. Its unbranded so not expensive.
The divider plays out as an adjustable range stick. Has a nautical theme moving in "legs". We play a lot...

Haven't played this for a while for lack of players. Sigh.
Anyway with the compass u can use true north as reference. Drawback - it...
Was thinking of marking at the bottom. But yeah I haven't really tried it out and unsure of the finer details of gameplay
Thanks. Next likely to do up terrain. There are so many impressive resources here
We are able to play Wings of War w/o the control boards. Seems indispensable in SoG cos more things to track. But yes, the markers give a visual cue of the ship's status
Impressive. It would be immersive to play on that board!
Tried a few markers - broadside and reload. Haven't tried in game yet so am not sure if it'll benefit gameplay

Got a compass and caliper for some nautical immersion. The compass for wind direction and caliper for range. Can roll a dice to randomize wind direction. Use true north or fix the needle and align...
Need to make these!
Really like your islands. Has lots of character.
I found another material to skip the cutting and painting - children's air dried clay. Easy to sculpt and pre-colored. Dries light and sturdy. You...
Here's another one - portable mat tiles. I usually play out with friends at a club or with my son over weekend brunch in a cafe. A portable terrain suits this. Fits in B4 holder. A bit of dark blue...
Fixed it you did! Yes it does look like an undiscovered island in a continent far away!
What did you use to make it?
Thanks Rob!
This is actually the ship Shadespire from GW's Dreadfleet. I had to shorten the sails and got a bit over zealous at the rear. This looks like a galleon (the Black Pearl is) and sits beside the HMS...
Hi,
I have an 11 year old boy so we need to have pirates! Better yet, ghost pirates
The Black Pearld rises from the depths of the ocean... propelled by the souls of sailors past... salty water...
We do overthink things. I was also trying to figure out how to sandwich/clip the base cards under the plastic base till my wife saw me struggling and handed me her leftover photo corners. The photo...
I don't know what its called. Saw it together with the large acrylic sheets. Maybe ask for textured clear plastic sheets?
Oh 0.5mm? I didn't realize thaat. Now that is too thin.
Mine is actually 3mm. That is the only thickness available here (lucky as i was originally looking for 1.5 mm). 3mm is pretty easy to handle, 5mm thick would be better i guess.
I used a generic textured plastic sheet from a local art supply shop.
Modelling shops will have but a bit more expensive.
