Sails of Glory Tactics

Are there any threads or information about tactics in regards to Sails of Glory?

I thought there were some bits of advice Bryan, and had a quick look around but can't find them in any of the obvious places. I will look in the files tomorrow.

I feel that staying at long range allows you to either gain an advantage and close or flee if things start to go pear-shaped.

Oh, and keep the weather gauge as long as possible and make your opponent tack to get to you.

Hi Bryan, I am not sure if these are on this forum somewhere, but if you go to the Sails of Glory forum over on boardgamegeek.com look for A walk through of the ship classes by wetaas in the files section. You can download that as a pdf. It dods have some useful information you can use to help develop your tactics. :beer:

What do you know! A nice fellow on BGG posted a file that includes loads of good information from all ship stats and includes tactics. I haven't read it yet but it looks very well done.
