Good shout Chris.
I just picked this up.
Could be the answer to the Doncaster game for me this year.
Rob.
Did you see they had a book about the Battle of Trafalgar with paper cut outs of all the ships that took part?
That one is part of the Peter Dennis series of paper soldiers, or in this case boats, there area few of these booklets, pretty drawingsand gives cheap armies if that is for you, I have the Trafalgar book as well as Spanish War of Succession one.
I also have that book and it was very useful in my building of my Trafalgar fleets.
Also the flags and pennants will be useful if Iever get around to decorating my ships with them.

This arrived yesterday Chris.

At first viewing it is full of incident. Just what I want if I am going to use my Basque roads scenery again.
The only failing as I can see it is too few charts and plans.
Rob.
Looks interesting Rob, I would be interested in your take on it.
I will do a write up as soon as I have read it Chris.

Interesting theme.
Not the most interesting job, such a blockade, but important.
I can imagine that it was a tough mission to keep the sailors at bay during those month.
As far as I remember the RN exchanged the ships from time to time.
They regularly sent a ship or two in for a refit, especially in the winter months Sven. With the British Naval bases situated all along the Channel and south coast it was reasonably easy to interchange ships unless a gale was blowing in a contary direction.
