Anniversary
Please will all fellow sailors join me in the wardroom for a celebratory tipple of choice.
50 years ago today I took the Queens shilling, or in my case a small pocket bible, and began a career in the Royal Corps of Signals.
Became my life until retirement on 1 Dec 1996.
If I had the choice/chance, would do it all again.
Met a lot of nice people and was lucky enough to travel to Cyprus, Italy, West Germany as it was then, Shetland and a couple of other Uk environs.
So sally up to the bar the bell is rung and pass the port

I'll join you for that glass of port, Chris!

As I intimated elsewhere sir, I will be honoured to join such a stalwart defender of the wooden walls of old England Captain Duff. To honour your good self even further I will forego my usual tipple and join you in a glass of Port if I may. :drinks:
Your obdt servant Wm Bligh.

Bravo Zulu and a happy 50th to you.
