I finished the fort Château du Taureau this evening. I still have to mount some ordnance on top.

Most impressive Vol. You should add that to the showcase.

Rob.
Today I managed to complete the island city part of the fortifications, and cut out the outline of the foam cliffs and shoreline.
Please note the gap left where a set of wall steps will be inserted after all is glued in place. This is the fallback for fudging if the walls have any errors when fully assembled.
Tomorrow I hope to contour the hills.
Rob.
Nice fort, Vol!
It really came out looking great!
I’m working on wrecks…

Thanks Jonas. Did you take the chunk out of the side of that ship, or was it a misprint so you are making it a wreck?
I used pliers to take a chunk out. I had printed good, but I print more ships than I need for fear of misprints and broken lanterns. Now that I use "tough" resin and get more used to handling them I usually don't need to.
But I find it useful and looks well to have wrecks for the game table so I will make sure I have at least a few of most types.
Unwanted wrecks removed Jonas.
Rob.
Thank you, Rob!
My plan is about 30 ships and perhaps 15 wrecks. 25 are just about ready for rigging but only 3 wrecks.

I printed out Henry's 17th century Gilded Sail wrecks in their original 1/600 scale to see what they looked like. I think you could do the same thing to our period ships by just slicing a portion of the hull below the plate line in various configurations.
I figured out the problem Rob. When I pulled up the Showcase I was logged out for some reason, when I had been logged in before I clicked your link. Once I did that I was able to start a post. However, when I tried to upload the 1st photo I got a notification that I did not have permission. Apparently I had been logged out again. I copied all that I had written then logged in again. I opened a post, pasted what I had copied and added the photos. What a chore!
Have you somehow unchecked the remember me box when you log in?
Rob.
Today I finished the terra forming and have now put diluted PVA all over the surface to seal it and also harden the surface prior to painting.
here it is with a few of the principal buildings where they will eventually be situated.

I got round to making and mounting the 32 pounder cannon on the fort.

Looks excellent Vol. What colour paint did you use for thegun carriages? They stand out beautifully.
Rob.
I am using Cura 14.0.1 Jonas and it allows me to 'sink' any part of the model below the plate line. I have used the feature a lot to reduce or get rid of the bulky bases on some of the ironclads and ancient ships I print.
Both of my photos have disappeared it seems this morning Jonas. Here they are again

They are gone again Vol.
Try posting them in your photos album on site and then move them from there to the page.
Bye the way it looks as if my own Remember Me is playing up too.
Rob.
Here is my undercoated terrain ready for glueing. Since taking this I also sawed out that black outline on the plasticard.
Rob.
This morning I undercoated the town walls and main buildings ready for a painting session.
Rob.
Looking great, Rob!
Thanks Jonas.
Now its just all the fiddly bits to do.
Rob.
Well I put the two in a new album. The others that were already uploaded I could not drag to the album. And I couldn't figure out how to move them from the abum to the post. There is no url to copy. I use my android phone. I also noticed every one of my albums is corrupted.
I have copied and pasted your pictures into the posts Vol. Lets see if they stay put now. I will ask Keith about your URL and the corruptions.
Rob.
I see them and their attachment copy…
Today I got an undercoat on the walls.
Today the topcoat was added and then over sprayed with a very fine coat of Desert Sand from Humbrol. I also painted the buildings associated with the walls.
It is looking very nice Rob
Thanks Vol. Not much progress today as real life has taken yet another twist. Just cleaned up those edges of plasticard showing around the harbour.
Rob.
Today I took the chance to paint up a few of the principal city buildings.
Those roofs are not as red as that. They are actually more terracotta.

Very nice Jonas! Is that one of the Spaniards? Bahama or a Nepo?
Lots of nice work for February! Vol's fort, Rob's fortress city and Jonas' wrecks all look great!
That Château du Taureau would make a great prison for terrorists and really hardened criminals. A very scary looking place.
A sort of small Alcatraz Gary!
