Since it’s so thin I should cure it a bit before removing the supports. Now it warps when curing. You can’t put it down in any way.
Looking very smart Jonas. setting up bowsprits and sails so that the glue is strong enough to hold has been my bête noire for years.

My shoals and Mud Island are moving ahead at a glacial pace.

The main reasons for the slow modeling progress are finishing our new dinghy and preparing Grace for another voyage south. Roughly 5 weeks until Grace goes in the water and the loading begins (including a substantial squadron of SoG ships).
Indeed Vol. With a hull in the same medium we could have the Flying Dutchman. That would put the wind up the sails of all these piretical coves.

Just started knocking out a bit mor coastline and seashore for Doncaster.

A bit of refining on the dunes and then glue up this morning.https://sailsofglory.org/attachment....id=55558&stc=1
Very nice work . Nice to see that you are doing that mor coastal area .
Hope to enjoy soon the finished results
Here is the afternoon's work Ferrante. All glue set, and now a thinned coat of PVA overall to seal the foam before applying the undercoat of paint tomorrow.

Very nice i deed, I look forward to seeing her masts also
I agree entirely, the deck and hull colours are very nice and you've made a tremendous job of the stern windows.
Cheers
Thank you.
So far the masts look like this…

All is looking very good Jonas.
I only hope that I can do as well with my effort when I get back to painting the models.

Last night I finished my interpretation of Pea Patch island on the Delaware River. This is before the fort was built. Apparently the island started to form in the 18th century after a merchant ship with a cargo of peas grounded on the shoal and threw a portion of the cargo overboard to float free.

Very nice jobs there
Lovely San José , I like the painting scheme
That island is pretty nice Dobbs
Texas what a nice idea with the replacement masts
I have high hype on building now
Nice work, and a nice story there Dobbs. I can almost see the wild peas growing amongst the bushes.
Rob.
Always more interesting with a story behind the terrain.
Here is mine. Undercoated and ready for more PVA and sand texture. No story with this one though Jonas!
Rob.
Coastline now PVA'd sanded and left to harden off overnight.
Actually on my workbench…

Four San Ildefonsos and a San Joaquin.
And some sails…

Putting me to shame now Jonas.
I really must get this lanscape finished and get back to my ships painting.
Rob.
Nice projects, comrades.
Interesting, that sail mass production.
Today more PVA. and large grain sand plus rocks added.
No worries, Rob. I want to get my Spanish somewhere close to finished. I too have some terrain projects I want to get to, but I will try to finish some ten 3rd rates an perhaps a few first rates first.
Well, Sven, I have had all those third rate hulls painted and waiting for masts for a while now.
It is the sails that is the sticking point for myself .
I have around 30 hulls at the moment just waiting for appropriate sails, not all painted though.
Great work on tweaking the sail sizes for SoG TexaS
If you want to send me the STL versions you used then I'd be happy to bundle them in with my existing ones. Then people can access them as needed.
Also send me a list of any tweaks needed for when I have some time to improve them (no guarantee in the immediate future though)
Email (which I didn't know was on there for ages is on https://www.wargaming3d.com/vendor/simon-mann/
(Just so it doesn't get posted in multiple places like these forums and then could be potentially indexed by bots to spam)
Would you like me to add it to the sticky for useful modelling addresses Simon?
Rob.
My latest bit of work, now all dry brushed and ready foe some planting out.
That looks great, Rob.
Cheers Jonas.
I have just finished planting out, and spraying the whole lot with varnish.
When it is dry I will post the finished bit of coast.

Thanks, Rob, for posting your pictures of shoals. I'm really satisfied with how mine are turning out and wouldn't have tried it without your examples
Attachment 55592
My shipwreck crept back in because the water on the shoals looked so good that I thought I should jazz up the water around the wreck
Those look excellent Dobbs. I love the addition of your wreck to the scene. I must place some wreckage on one of my rocky islets next time.
Rob.
Here is my completed bit of coastline.
