Yes Gary.
Just don't work with Gin and Tonic.
Rob.
Nice rocks, Rob.
Great work and they look really dangerous. Shame on the captain that lead this 1st rate into those waters!
Thanks Sven.
It looks as if it is destined to be a real ships graveyard.
Rob.
Today I be mostly doing Dockyard repairs to Merchant ship Rose.

Fort Moultrie in Charleston! We sailed past it crossing Charleston harbor, just not close enough for photographs. I took some of Castle Pinckney, but we weren't really close to it either.
Where does that model come from?
Brigade Models Dobbs.

Thanks, Rob! I've added it to my wishlist when we get home (I'm sure yours will look much cooler than their display model).
Having no experience with this scale prior to SoG, I look forward to how you suggest the balconies in the paint job.
Working up ideas for the layout.

The next stage in the process is Routing out the covered way,
Attachment 42176
Then the final fitting of the fort before taking it off to paint.

Next a coat of watered down PVA to seal the surface ready for undercoating.
Attachment 42190
Leave overnight to dry and then undercoat the next day.
Today I have given the surface an undercoat of brown earth colour and then a coat of matte varnish to seal
the whole surface.

Looking good Rob. What is the base thickness? I have to start making some shoreline and installations.
Hi Pete.
I use two main sizes. One inch for most work and two inches for large headlands hills etc, although you could make do with the one inch and laminate it for higher coastline.
Rob.
The next stage is tidying up the cliff faces and painting them plus any light parts of the hillside.

Cliffs shaded.

Really beautiful, Rob!
Thanks for the comment my dear Comte.
Also thanks for the Rep.
Rob.
Rob, you have a enviable complete set of modular scenography. Really congratulation!
Rob, it is hard to tell from the pictures, but is the moat in front of the fort filled with rock?
Hi Dobbs.
It is most strange but in the early plans the ditch in front of the fort is not straight sided like the rest but V shaped and lined with boulders. I attempted to emulate this.
Rob.
Really looks awesome Rob!
Thanks Vol. Could be my last big job for some time as we are gutting the Kitchen and adding a day room after Prague Con, so I will loose my work room until the job is completed.
Rob.
Excellent work once again, Sir! Rep point!
Thanks very much for the comment and Rep points Richard.

Mine came with guns Dobbs.
