That is a great looking island, Dobbs!
Nice , lovely Mills . You can see them in the distance
I liked the boat in the beach sand .
This king of islands gives a lot of fun . Making and playing .
Great innovation Dobbs. I only have two Mills on the entire set of my landscapes and one of those lost its sails at a show! I think I know who removed them!
I now am suffering from Mill envy.
Rob.
The name makes sense.
Nice Island.
Oh yeah Dobbs this is really nice! Where do the wind mils come from? I especially like the beached cutter!
Here's a close up of the cutter:

We're going to take her out for a spin today. The state of Maryland has eased the recreational boating restrictions!
The windmills are from Brigade Models Small Scale Scenery, English Buildings, Agricultural Buildings. The link doesn't work perfectly for some reason, but gets you to their website.

I made my own sails for them out of sheet plastic.
BTW, thanks for the rep, Vol!
Put your photo upright for you Dobbs.
have a good cruise and save us some more pictures please.
rob.
Thank you, Admiral. Will do!
Hahaha, now you need to model Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs on the island getting the cutter ready to sail! Julian could give you some pointers for the figures
What kind of armament for the cutter, beside a crew of 2 and a burden value of... 0,1?
Looks great Dobbs. How was the sail? The weather looked good yesterday although I didn't see the wind forecast. Now it seems we are back to early April weather!
I really like your cutter's pennant !
It was a small craft advisory yesterday. The wind was gusty and fluky. We really had to stay on our toes to avoid a knockdown.
Here's the Pea Green Boat at the ramp before launching.:

Here's a video Suzanne shot when she was able to juggle it in between trimming the jib and being movable ballast.

We probably got to sail about 5 miles, out to a favorite picnic cove for lunch and back. We passed some friends sailing on the way back. We think our friends may have had their hands full and we may have been to small to be noticed. Suzanne lamented that we didn't have a swivel cannon as an attention-getter.
I like to read that you and yours enjoyed . Nice boat .
I want to buy a little fishing boat to go fishing near from the coast . But I need to learn and obtain the title
Great vid Dobbs. Nice to have such an efficient first mate!
Here's the story of the Pea Green Boat as told by Suzanne:

Thanks Dobbs.
That was a very interesting video and took me back a lot of years to our schools sailing club days. Only on the river Trent though. Nothing as exciting as thr Chesapeake. I just remember that we did an awful lot of tacking to get anywhere, and the journey back with the wind only seemed to take a few minutes. We did go to the local Reservoir a couble of times though, and please excuse the pun, it was like a breath of fresh air.
