Have they ever done Santisima Trinidad?
Planned for a Special Pack eventually--there's only one other ship the ST could pass for, a scaled-down copy built by the Russians.
I can't speak for Rob & Co., but I for one think such inquiries help keep the encouragement on them. :) (I'm just part of the research team, and an unpaid part at that even if I do give them the same quality of work as my paying clients--though if they opened a full-time spot for me I would gladly give up my freelancing practice, as long as I had sufficient time to finish my existing bookings and help my clients line up replacements to take over for me.)
No disruption at all--slow sales would cause more of that than anything.:)
Tremendous. I will look forward to that.
Well, maybe add a Montanes/Ildefonsino and a late-era Large or Middling 74. :) Perhaps some Heavy Frigates and maybe a little more trickle to fill out the USN... but let's make sure we keep seeing steady progress, both new sculpts and regular reprints, on filling out the Trafalgar roster too. :D Always a good idea to have more goals teed up to replace the ones you check off...
Well, yes now you mention it DB. I'd never turn down any chance to add a few more varieties.
Just that the ones I mentioned would give me a working nucleus. I would eventually like every line ship that sailed in the conflict, but I don't think I will live that long.
Rob.
I like the sound of the Montanes sculpt and of course the Santissima.......... Then a Mars and of course the fighting Temeraire and..... Sorry got carried away :) my hope is to get all for Trafalgar before I loose any faculties :)
I know exactly what you mean Chris.
I live in that hope myself.
Rob.
oops, wrong thread
The fall in the value of the pound will push the price of the new ships up by quite a bit here in the U.K..
Nachtsegler posted this picture at the Aerodrome:
Santa Ana's Center broadside is very impressive, but only 104 cannons on the ship's card?
We got a bit of a discussion about this picture here yesterday Sven.
You may be interested in comparing notes as we have both picked up on different aspects of the picture from each other.

Rob.
Didn't saw that, because the Constitution stuff isn't that interesting for me at the moment.
Old Ironside is still waiting for it's maiden voyage. :takecover:
As far as I know will be Santa Ana's (center) broadside the most powerful in the game.
Yes I think so Sven. It is better than Hibernia or Orient at any rate.
Rob.
Makes you wonder why it starts with a firepower of 9 then Dave.
As a naval expert, have you any ideas to explain this anomaly.
Rob.
Muppetry in the statting process again
Too bad they couldn't unpack a 109 and a 110 for display too... Anybody snag 'em at Essen?
I notice from the portraits that 109 and 110 use N and O decks respectively, and after Victory's I we know Constitution has one of J-M... which tells us they have three decks developed and set aside. Question is, for WHAT?
A very interesting question DB.
More Muppetry as Dave suggests mayhap?
Rob.
Jack Aubrey bought them all at Essen:

Thanks, Sven. Since my German is horribly rusty (as in "chuck it back in the smelter and start over"), would you mind asking him about snapping a pic of a representative 109 and 110 log to help fill in some blanks on the Stats Committee? :) (I'm a little ill-at-ease barging into the German community with my Ugly American English... though despite my not liking beer if I ever get to visit my friend in Munich I'd gladly join you guys for a pint and a game. (Well, half-pint for me... LOL)
Thanks Ulrich.
Those are the missing ships that DB and I were after.
Vielen Dank.
Rob.
Gerne
Vielen Dank, Ulrich--you've been a huge help with that. :) (Sorry, that just exhausted what little of my conversational Deutsch I still have confidence in...)
I´m happy that I could help
Interesting that they're identical except in Veer and Deck... this implies to me that either Leaner got buffed or Artesien got nerfed.
Then again, comparing them to Constitution... I would have expected them to turn in a similar HTK score of 45--though there is a tradeoff, 10x4 may be easier to hit than 9x5 but it has one more box of shooting back and thus may be harder to kill.
Now all we need is the distance for a straight move under fighting sails in mm and we are all set DB.
Rob.
Well, a little more logic and a lot less pulling-numbers-out-of-arses from Ares would be a big help too. :) But it is what it is, right?
At the gamefair in Essen I heard, that in the next wave of new ships there will be some pirates...but it is not already decided.
Re pirates: some discussion, but no candidate sculpts yet--at least not Wave 4, maybe a surprise Special they haven't told us on the Research Team about yet.
That, or we're being cut out of the loop... unless BHR is a 'pirate.'
In the meantime I will carry on happily getting boarded by Simon's Pirates.:Arrrr:
Rob.
This article might help answer your question, Dobbs. http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/fr_revol.html
Blimey, that broadside of 9 is going to hurt! Makes the Royal sovereign look like a bit of a wimp next to that!
It would certainly give them a run for their money Hugh.
You could employ the optional rule for Gunners lacking training, on page 34 of the rule book.
That would give a more realistic cast to the action.
Rob.
Latest Facebook entry says the ships will be arriving at some hobby shops on December 12th. That probably means North America and not Europe or elsewhere?
