This thread might be a week early, but I'd like to hear when they start arriving.
I'm hoping to see a UPS notice tomorrow, but past experience says not to get too excited. It may be 10 days or 2 weeks before they start actually shipping packages :bleh:
Why The Shouting??? :takecover: :bleh:
Give me a break!
Loud noises!
So I haven't pre-ordered, where should one preorder from? Aerodrome? I think I need 2 USS Constitutions so I can make a USS United States
For small orders, Aerodrome is a good choice. For prepaid shipping over $100.00 try coolstuffinc.com
Did we shout Aerodrome :question::question:
Thanks for the info, order made, actually used coolstuff as it was 5$ cheaper time shipping and all was added and they allowed use of a credit card, aerodrome is paypal only (which I have but boy what a pain to have to wait to add funds). I'm probably the only one who hadn't preordered already though ha.
Not sure why, but Miniature Market isn't listing the Victory or the Constitution. I almost wonder if this was because of the Wave 2 mast issue. But they did sell the Wave 1 reprinted Spanish and British ships. So not sure what this issue is with these two. MM is my preference, but then again a swing by and pick up from them.
:salute: No sails on the horizon yet sir.:salute:
On a side bet, my money is on next Thursday or Friday. (Got four to one odds)
Does anyone know if the V&C are shipping from Fort Wayne, IN? I got a UPS notification yesterday and I'm not expecting any other shipments...
Yes, they are shipping from the Ft. Wayne, IN distributer/logistics company.
Thanks! Well... here's hoping I've got the new ships and the updated ruler later today!
Great news:happy:, even though that will cost me a $5 bet.
Now begins the next question - how many days/weeks (/months) until the warehouse gets all of them shipped...
Guess what just arrived!!!!!
what no pix?
Eric, I think your #1....gee you can infer several things from that!
@Gunner, does that wrap up pick a date?
Fred, being rather old-school, we should say very-old-school, regarding technology, everyone will have their ships by the time Sue takes pictures, loads them on the computer, sends them to me, and I post. :erk:
I have writing deadlines for Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. I probably won't look at these again until after then. Over the next few days, I simply am hoping to stay afloat.
Bob, you raise a fair point.
OK Eric, what arrived, the notice or the ships:question::drinks:
The ships and rulers. Very nice boxes, and the ships seem fairly secure in the plastic inserts.
It is nice to have another black-and-white hull.
I'll ask Sue to take some pictures this afternoon and will post them, assuming someone else does not do so before then.
Way to go Eric. Must be nice to have pull with Ares:drinks:
Aaaaaaaargh! Eric i'm envious! Still if anyone was gonna get them first, i'm glad it was you.
So what does this do for the comp gunner?
That's two, the momentum is building.......

Packaging is very nice.
Here in the Antipodes, we follow the old Army dictum: "Hurry up and wait!"
As one vulture said to another, "Patients my arse, lets kill something":drinks:
Please, someone. Post pictures of the stats. I really want to see gunnery factors.
Figured after I saw what the UPS guy dropped off today you would probably have yours today Eric....Sorry no pics here yet either, I cant get a good pic with the plastic wrap on them and frankly they look too pretty to open (for now--I am sure I will in time). I will say from what I have seen they look gorgeous...and that just might include shining a flashlight into the box to get a better look so I didn't have to open.
Its nice to see the Constitution next to some of the other ships it really shows how much longer it was than a typical ship of the time which is something that is easy to forget if you have only seen pictures of it or seen it without being near another age appropriate ship. Its kind of amusing to see how it is almost as long as the Victory and it actually dwarfs the Bellerophon in length.
The packaging looks quite nice and I didn't notice it in pics I saw previously but if you look real close at Nelson's pic on the Victory you can see his left sleeve hangs down and then is strung up on one of the buttons on his uniform right underneath the medal around his neck.
I`m still waiting.....
Subtle hint: Stats... STAT! The Committee needs that information to continue fleshing out our Guidelines...
