Has anyone come up with a solution to the loose peg problem apart from fixing rare earth magnets beneath the ships? Has anyone tried a strip of double sided selotape for example?

Keith has recommended something called "Blu-Tack", "Tack It" or "Sticky Tack" I believe. Various companies offer similar products. Elmer's calls it "Poster Tack", etc.

Basically any reusable adhesive putty is going to work. Someone here also used just a dab of white glue on the peg, let it dry completely before replacing the ship and it worked pretty well?
Better yet (and a shameless plug), the altitude glue I sell on the AA site works really well ;)
I used rubber cement on mine.

I am sure it is not as good as Keith's AA altitude glue, but last time I checked it was out of stock. Maybe he has restocked?.
Thank you everyone. I thought about your altitude glue, Keith, but I was afraid that it would spread onto the ship card. Blue-Tack sounds fairly safe.
It is back in stock.
There is two ways to use the Altitude glue for SGN ships/bases. The first is just like for the planes, put a small amount on the peg on the bottom of the ship and let it dry. the second, and my preferred method, put a very small amount down into the hole of the base. Make sure you take the clear cover and card off the base when doing this, just to make sure you don't get any on them ;)
