Richard (Torrence) has opened the score sheet with the first AAR of the 2016 campaign.
Why, here we are with a success on our hands and nobody has raised so much as a murmur, never mind a glass.
Here is to your victory Richard.
Bligh.:drinks:
Well done Richard. Salute. Well a touch of the forelock actually but the respect level is the same!
Salute Richard. My ship moored one our ago. I can tell you...
But first I need to wet my whistle!
Nightmare, went to do my game yesterday and dead camera, after visit to PCworld and Jessops, nope looks like motherboard, not worth repairing, so another £100 later ordered a new camera from Tesco of all places, to arrive next week, will do my first game next weekend.
NP Chris. A costly business all this tech stuff. Sean has just bought a GoPro for time lapse images so he can take shots of star movements! For it's size I was surprised seeing how much it cost him.
So far 3 AAR's completed. Will try and get mine sailed tomorrow.
OK, I'm human, I made a mistake in Rob's result. Apologies Rob but the captured ship did not get a free hull repair. It's only your own ships that get this.
The Spreadsheet is now up to date.
Thanks for letting me know Neil, but I really could not care less what happens after the AAR, as long as I can keep my ships sailing.
The games afoot and that is all I care about. With only six games this year and all my Captains anxcious to get into action, I doubt if many, or their ships will get more than three actions at most anyway.
Rob.
We now have 9 players and fleets for the Nation v Nation campaign and 7 players and ships for the Letters of Marque campaign.
Hi folks. I apologize for my absence. Since a week ago Monday, I have been pretty sick. I'll try to get this first one sailed on Sunday. I am looking forward to it. Thanks, again, Neil for heading this up.
Sorry I haven't posted my first venture yet. I've been a touch busy with the newest member of my armada! Attachment 19345
I hope to chase off the French this weekend!
Hi Hugh. I don't have any details of your fleet, captains or email address to get you logged into the campaign. If you can do so I can get you added to the broadsheet etc.
Neil
Ok, I will pm you my ships. Thanks for your patience.
NP, glad to have you on board.
Just spotted your post Eric.
I trust you are recovering O.K. I am also prone to chest infections, and the one I got last winter plagued me right up to the time we came over to Virginia. I think the warm weather there got rid of it finally.
You need to get plenty of rest and not over exert yourself.
Rob.
Thanks Matthias! He is number 3. Frankly im amazed that I got enough time to play the first mission!
Well done Hugh.
We now have 10 confirmed fleets in the nation v Nation and 7 confirmed ships in the Letters of Marque campaigns respectively.
We now have 6 out of the 10 Nation v Nation January AAR's complete (well it will be when I get round to posting mine!)
Nice work chaps, keep up the good work.
My ships are here! I now have a ship of each class and am eager to try them out. Is there any chance of signing up for the privateer campaign? I think I might have time for more games and am getting impatient waiting two months for the next round!
NP Hugh. Just need a ship name. Type. Captains name.
Great another player.
Good to have you alongside Hugh.
Rob.
Ship Name: Iratus
Type: Amazon (HMS Meleager), Pirate
Captain: Carswell Dixon(Double Dealing Dixon)
I played a solo game today, HMS Vanguard (me) vs Commerce de Marseille (ai)
The Ocean class ships are not to be underestimated! I lost in short order. I just couldn't do enough damage to it. Those first rates are absolute monsters!
That they truly are. If you want to break a line the third rates do get hammered on the way in and loose their bite, but first rates are still very much a threat after taking some damage.
Spreadsheet updated for all games played to date.
Yes! Thanks very much for leaving your sick bed to update the files.
Rob.
Up and about now but still have a damn cough now and then that really hurts.
We now have 8 completed January scenarios out of 10. Keep up the good work chaps.
We now have 3 completed February scenarios out of 9.
And a most entertaining set of reports they all are Neil.
Thanks once again for overseeing we bunch of scurvy knaves, and vagabonds.
Rob.(Bombay Buccaneers.)
Enjoyed both games so far, now looking forward to March fleet action :)
Nation v Nation = 9 out of 10
Letters of Marque = 4 out of 8
Greetings all, is it still possible to join in and attempt the January scenario?
Also as I'm still wearing my L plates, would I be allowed to use standard rules first time out?
I'm not much of a nautical word smith, but willing to give it a go.
