I'll second that Eric! :drinks: :singin: :eat:  ...I think I put those awesome faces this forum has in the right order.
Be safe, be thankful, have fun, enjoy family, and please come back to the anchorage with all your digits....
maybe I should have added one more :drinks: before the sleep .
The best wishes for 4th July from the French Navy. :salute:
To our forefathers that fought to create our nation and those who fought to preserve it.:hatsoff:

Fantastic photo/painting Bobby! A very fitting post.
Happy 4th to you all in the USA. I remember being in Columbus Ohio on a 4th July in the late 90's and it was great fun, street parade, party time!
Happy Traitors Day everybody, hope the parties and the fireworks are up to their usual standard. Looking forward to my septic chums here having their ritual throwing of the teabag into the local river before we down a few bevvies
:salute: Freedom has it's price which we must all continue to invest for future generations. :salute: Today we celebrate our Independence. :drinks:
I celebrated last Saturday with Madison's annual Rhythm and Booms. The fireworks were pretty spectacular, especially sitting in the middle of Lake Monona: http://www.rhythmandbooms.com/
Today will be spent more quietly, probably trying to sink a Spanish ship in the solo campaign (if I find time).
Happy 4th of July to all!
Happy Independence Day to all our U.S. members! :rum:
Happy 4th of July everyone, and a toast to our independence!!! :drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::beer:
Huh -- seems to me they went to Canada. :)
The ones in SC were being backstopped by Britain (and France), tho'; apparently after backing Tecumseh to keep the US out of the Great Lakes didn't work, the next effort was to split the Colonies into a mutually-antagonistic mercantile/manufactory North and an agrarian South, with Britain as the middleman; fortunately, the guy with that idea was leading the Opposition rather than being PM, and the PM at the time wanted nothing to do with another North American conflict....
As much as I hate to admit it, If it wasn't for Britain we might have never united to be one great country.:drinks:
All we need is a real President.
Do what everyone else does when they need a good dose of national unity and invent some external threat. Aliens, or China or something.
Actually China is a good one for here. After all, look how they sabotaged Wave 2? Wargamers of the Free World unite against this perfidious foe!!!!
Oh yes, more than likely in some way, shape or form.
As of late, I have stopped listening to the news. Either it makes me angry and frustrated, or I don't believe what is being said. Either way, I cannot do much of anything about what is "reported", so I thought it best to walk away. I have been much happier these past few weeks.
Chinese business - there is a dissertation or ten in that subject. I was in China two years ago speaking to a group of 150 business owners - a truly stellar group. They gave me such hope. Unfortunately, in comparison to the number of business owners in China, they were a drop in the bucket, but hope there still is.
Fortunately, my in-house Chinese manufacturer has more talent and higher standards than most anyone I know. When it comes to any type of modeling work, I trust Sue far more than I could ever trust myself.
Most of the stuff I read or hear that is associated with stuff that I'm personally aware of or involved in is total bobbins, which tends to give me the impression that everything else is as poorly covered too. Certainly on matters of defence the press in the UK and the US seems totally clueless - even when spoonfed.
