We have not written any yet.
May I suggest something very simple like this for a first game, just to get the feel of the new setup.
Pell Mell.
You have been in a long stern chase across whichever ocean you are on.
The enemy have seen you closing gradually day by day , and decide to turn and fight as a last option.
They start at the top end (West) middle of the two mats heading West but with the two lead ships starting to turn just inside the border.
Your lead ship is just entering the middle of the eastern end of the mats.
You may field any number of ships of three or more up to your max. Throw a single dice. on an even number your squadrons will be identical; on an odd you will have one ship fewer than the enemy. If one fewer, remove your last ship in line. It was too slow to keep up.
Ships will sail in this order of arrival. Fastest first, through to your slowest, as would be expected after a long chase.
The wind is from the South, and may veer if so wished. You may use any rules from the Sails official book or amendments made since such as Carronades if they come within your time slot.
Winning the game.
You win if you disable more of the enemy than you lose.
Rob.

Good to have you on board Barry. Read the directions under the 2017 Rules thread and send me your list of ships and captains and send the to me on this thread so that I can enter them on the spreadsheet.
I think you may find it helpful to read some of the scenarios and AARs from 2016.
Welcome aboard. :beer::drinks::thumbsup::Arrrr:
Ok put me down also please for both.
I hope to be more active and will put in my ship list this week as well as a couple of Scenarios
Good to see my old shipmate back in action Chris.
Rob.
Sorry but I will have to sit this one out. I might do a scenario if you need one.
Cheers
Dr.Maturin
I have some ideas for scenarios but I don't have the time to write them up properly. Would you want ideas or an outline posted somewhere?
I'm sure that if you put forward some rough ideas someone would be happy to flesh them out Jim.
I made a suggestion for Scenario One in post six here, but no one has taken it up, so your input would be all the more welcome, if no one wants to use that, as we near the mid point of the month.
Rob.
I'm in, although I may miss a few scenarios here and there as time dictates.
You can put me down for January Nation vs Nation then.
I will tidy the idea up a bit for proper inclusion.
Rob.
Can someone post a link for the spreadsheet on here?
Thanks

I have given CC and Hold Fast to my top two captains from last campaign to denote their previous successes.
Iratus (HMS Terpsichore V), Burden 2, Hull 8, Crew 9, Captain Carswell Dixon pirate (RC) (Hold Fast)
Last campaign he gained 36 prize money and 15 Rep points.
This should be enough to buy another ship. Is that an option, can i run two ships?
Build a fleet, have a really big hat, and be called Comodore!

LOM was designed specifically for a solo ship action for those who had not got time or space for all twelve Hugh.
We suggested the two campaigns to maximize the chance to attract players.
One campaign, or both at whatever stage you fleet was.
I don't suppose anyone would mind if you did your own thing with it.
Rob.
Perhaps some upgrades to the Iratus are in order then.
What would be reasonable for up-gunning an Amazon class frigate? How would you change the stat line? Perhaps carronades?
I would certainly use Carronades if available to you Hugh. From my trials they certainly give you an edge, and for single ship actions the maths is not too strenuous.
Get nice and close, give 'em a whiff of grape and then it's boarders away.
You could also give her stats like the Amelia.
Rob.
If you want to do this there are a few things to consider
1. Scenarios are written for single pirate ships so you would need to modify the so that they don't become too one sided.
2. A ship would cost 1 treasure point for each hull and crew box plus 1 treasure point for each point of burden.
I am interested in how this will turn out. Keep me informed.
The new ship will be listed on the LoM spreadsheet as a new ship just like I've done with your original ship. How you split the loot is up to you. It is up to you how you alter the scenarios to allow for the second ship and how as pirate king you mount your fortunes. This will be interesting and I, for one, am excited to see what comes of it.

You will have to hope your enemies are not at all stand offish.
