Great. I can see it now Bobby. Glad I got the correct island. I have no idea why your first picture of it has gone all pixelated on my screen. Rob.
It is the same island. Your photo is from the reverse side of the island. Attachment 14293
Was it this Santa Clara Island Bobby, as my picture of it on this thread has gone all pixelated. Attachment 14292 This has a very defensible anchorage. Bligh.
I must get my act together and pick up some terrain features to enhance my own games. So much to do. so little time. Bligh.
Very nice indeed, i've been using wizkids pirates terrain tiles, islands, sargosso sea,etc._. Flat and cheap but the POTC pocket model game does offer quite a bit for source material on the fly, also parts from an old board game SURVIVE, shark fins, whale fins, row boats and crew. Nice work you have there though.
Has anyone else looked into the Spartan Games Building terrain from their Dystopian Wars and Uncharted Seas game lines? It's 1:1200 and Victorian steampunk/fantasy, so it's a bit of an anachronism, to say the least, but I have the Wharf/Jetty set and I think it works well if you're not too put off by the some historical inaccuracy.

Excellent Islands. It's always cool to see how creative minds can enhance a game.
I like the ones above. I'm waiting to get my hands on rules/ships and the terrain packs but I plan on using a lot of the same terrain options for land-based wargames to make some "terrain" for SoG. Based on what's there in the rules, some reef/shoals, coasts, forts, etc. Should be fun!
Really cool. Looks like it would really enhance the game..

I would not want to be home during hurricane season or a lightning storm!

Awesome photo. Looks like a great place to live. As mentioned must be quiet except for the waves.
No noise from the neighbors and a brilliant view, very nice. Bit of a hike to the letterbox though!

Awesome. I think I may have seen your work in another site dealing with War @ Sea. Excellent work.
One for the pirates out there And another island showing some detail I also have some smaller ones for Axis and Allies war at sea
Thanks. Larger island need more work but you can do a lot with their terrain. Made them for use with the A&A War @ Sea but now I see they will work well with the Sails ships when they come out.
Those look very good. Would go well with highly detailed ship models.
Attachment 1214 Another view of the first island.
Attachment 1213 Here two islands that are smaller terrain.
Attachment 1212 Not home made but here is an island I made using the Flames of War 15mm terrain. I use different kind of fine and clump ground foam to make it look like there are trees.
Yes, indeed.
Nice islands.

Thanks guys. They do come out looking pretty good.

Those look really the bee's knees Brian. When we did the battle of Vittoria we did not have enough bridges for the river, so I took one of mine into work and knocked off another four on the Vac-Former whilst the boss was on lunch break! They are ideal for this sort of thing and so light as well. I'm suprised we don't get more of them produced for wargaming. Rob.

Island Terrain I have made some vacuum formed islands for Pirates of the Spanish Main and Uncharted Seas in the past. If anyone is interested in them I can pm some info.
