    Default Medals and promotions Board.

As we do not have a section to celebrate your achievements on the Anchorage similar to the one which exists on the Drome where people hold parties in the mess I intend this to be a thread where we can announce our elevation up the chain of command and invite our fellow mariners to join us in the Wardroom for a wet.
I will start the ball rolling on behalf of several medal recipients over the last month.
    Bligh.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

I will start the ball rolling with Texas who has achieved the distinction of gaining his "How to" silver medal, being only the second person to be presented with this award.
I therefore call upon all to join me in the wardroom for a few sippers and a hornpipe or two in recognition of this event.

    Thank you very much.

I do try to follow in the footsteps of the great man that was the first to receive this prestigious medal, Rob himself. I will not be long winded but will end this speech by simply saying... cheers!

I am unaware of how that medal is granted Jonas. As a master and Commander yourself, you are senior enough to approach the Royal Hajj about this and ask him if you may put up your choices for award.

Methinks that if you touted for this particular gong you would get a dusty answer Dobbs. If some member of standing in the community put you forward it would be considered. There are many medals where the criteria are straightforward and I can just check the records and award them.
Others like the Midshipman medal need Keith's blessing. however, always feel free to ask me. If you don't ask you don't get, unless I just happen to notice when I am doing something else.
