Which 'Rate' of ship are you most interested in playing?

I like the 74's, not as nimble as the frigates, as glamorous as the first rates but they were the work horses of fleet action and could go toe to toe with just about anything. Having multiple gun platforms and a range of ordinance plus the ability to send cutting out parties, the survivability to take a mountain of punishment and the ability to fight in line or alone they represent all that is interesting in the naval period of the time.

I like the 74's too and the fact there were 3 sizes. But in reading William James' Naval History of Great Britain, the lions share of the cutting out expeditions appears to have been performed by the frigate crews.
