Default Sails of Glory at Rincon 15

I dragged all of my SOG stuff to the annual Rincon gaming convention in Tucson, set up a table and was quite busy. I got a lot of attention, played a few quick and dirty basic games and everybody was really happy and interested. A good time was had by all. Here's some pics:

I hadn't even gotten set up and people were wanting to play a game. The first game was a blockade action. The Orient and the Courageuse were blockaded in a harbor and had to break out and run for the opposite side of the table. On blockade duty were the HMS Victory and the HMS Defense. Frankly, after action reports of basic games are really kind of boring, so I'll forego that. Suffice it to say, The Courageous bravely took on both the British ships allowing the Orient to escape the blockade. She sacrificed herself for the greater good of France. The games that followed were more of the same. I was disappointed in the maneuverability of the Victory. The I deck kinda sucks.

Nice advertising for the game, Kenneth.

Looks like a very small table for a SoG game, but the posters are nice.

Can say anything about the maneuverability of the HMS Victory. I fought her once but heared no complaints about her.

Great job of promoting the game.

Even better, it sounds like everyone involved enjoyed themselves!

The Victory maneuvers a little too well for her size, thats the only redeeming thing about her maneuver deck. The table was small, but big enough for two on two actions.

    Now I understand , Kenneth.

I had the same impression about her maneuverability (watching from the quarterdecks of Commerce de Bordeaux & Le Berwick) but found it adequate for a British flagship under Nelson's command.

I posted the original artwork on the thread http://www.sailsofglory.org/showthre...2411#post52411 you have to resize the images to print them. I will make full size jpegs that you can print directly. As soon as I install some legacy software because I stupidly upgraded to OS X El Capitan on my ancient IMac.
