Thread: A new project. The siege of Havana. ModelJShip

Default A new project. The siege of Havana. ModelJShip

    Hello everyone,
I am preparing a game kit to represent the siege of Havana in 1762.
Now, they have informed me that are finishing the fortifications and I will now start making the city of Havana with its walls. Of course I'll have to make a representation because of size, to make it playable. I will make a modular field to be stored and transported without difficulty.
The idea is to commercialize this product for Sail of Glory game. I can not put links to commercial sites (policy of forum) but I will put pictures of the progress of the project. If you are interested to know more about this project contact me.

I also am grateful for my lack of experience in the game Sail of Glory, some recommendation when sizing the game. As well as rules and ideas to make amphibious landings carried out by the British.

I hope you like this project.

    Best regards,
    Julian

Hey Julian, if you're planning on marketing these, could we have a ruler in the picture? They sure look nice!

I do not have any rules devised yet, in fact, I want to make freedom of choice to use. I have no experience in making rules, I'm not the most suitable.

    Anyway, thanks

I think Dobbs meant a measuring device marked in centimetres or inches, Julian.

That's a very good looking fort!
It would be a great addition to any set of terrain regardless of rules.

Exactly Jonas, the idea is not only to sell the whole kit but also sell the parts separately. And also it will sell unpainted material (for fans of modeling) and painted material.

Hi Julian, I meant some means of comparing the scale of the fort to the ship models.

aaa ok I didn't understand correctly. No problem, when I have the fort in my hands I will take a photo with ships of scale 1/1000 and 1/1200 but I can say that the fort has a maximum length of 20 cm.

Now, they are preparing two forts (Vauban style) but smaller than Morro fort.

The fort and concepts for expansion are wonderful. Too bad we don't have any SoG Spanish First Rates to go with them?

It's a real shame that it takes so time to put up sell spanish ships. I know people who already have cards of the Spanish ships for this cause.

Havana may be a bit larger than I had in mind, but yes, why on earth not. Next year I want to do a Sails game at shows with as many trimmings as Wings now sports.

The idea is to make a representation of Havana I don't want to represent the entire city 100% real.

Hello everyone, today I've finally received the Morro Castle. The fort is gorgeous!
Here some pictures where you can see the strength in detail (unpainted, as supplied) and some comparative photos with Sail of Glory ships. I also added some pictures where you can see the effect of the fort on a promontory (more real than at ground level).
    I hope you like it

Hello everyone, today I received photos of 3D design two more forts. The first is the fort of San Luis de Bocachica, the second is the fort of Manzanillo, much smaller than the first.
I hope they have the design completed in a week.

These forts are based on the forts of Cartagena de Indias, but serve to elsewhere because the design was very similar.

    I hope you like it!!!

Hello Neil, Morro fort will cost, around: 35€. Everything depends on the payment method (paypal, bank transfer).
I'm hoping to come out all items, to put everything on sale at a time. Thus shipping costs will be best for the client.
Also it is projected vinyl tablecloths sea by a very interesting price. I will keep you informed.
    Best regards,

In my website, products will be announced shortly. I will put several options for the same item. The first option will be article unpainted and disassembled, the second option will be textured but without paint works, the third will be the article completely painted and assembled. In this way each customer can choose the product you want according to your needs.
Also the complete kit will sell for playing campaign Havana or you can buy the pieces separately.
