    Default Harbors and High Seas?

Found this in a library discard pile, new to me and very cool!

Stories and maps behind the O'Brian books. I find the maps interesting for game scenarios, if only someone wanted to make some specific play mats . . .

Very nice find. I've never seen it before. I looked it up on eBay and there are several available for around $4.00.

Just bought one for $3.89 with free shipping.

Yes, its a cracking good read. I got Liz a copy when she was in her PO'B phase many years ago. Curiously I found a copy in a pile of discarded books at work a few years go as well!

Worth also looking out for a copy of the Hornblower Companion, a similar and earlier publication that included some lovely charts, ideal for setting up scenarios and campaigns.

For some of our newer members who haven't seen this posted before, this is another good book to go with the O'Brian books.

Cheers for the overview of that.
Looks like one book I need on my new venture.

Great find. Thanks for the heads up, Bobby.

Here's another one that I find quite enjoyable:

    Great Eric.
I read one of those books back in the seventies, and could not remember what it was. I will have to have a look on Amazon for them.

I ordered Harbors and High Seas - ebay - $4 Free Shipping. There are a couple more copies at that price.

    Good find Eric.
Trouble is, I have just ordered two books on sea warfare in the Napoleonic Age this afternoon, so dare not spend any more for a few days.
Its not the price, just the number of new books arriving that are not Wings specific that may be a slight problem.
Ship storage will be quite another matter.

Got this tip from Bobby. I, too, have been ordering quite a bit of games and books lately, but the deals have been too good to pass. Justification is a wonderful thing, no?

Book arrived today. First perusal, excellent value. The wind directions sailing habits etc not including the excellent maps and battle descriptions from the books, was well worth the money.

If you don't have it...GET IT!

Finally succumbed after a nights sleep, and ordered a copy myself.
    Thanks for the tip Eric.
