    Default Stingray!

Off topic a bit, but still naval. I've been cracking on with my latest participation game project, "Stingray". This is something that I've been working on for about 5 years but decided to give it a push and get finished in time for this year's Naval Wargames show in Gosport (now in July). Darn it, but didn't the South London Warlords steal my thunder with their own very large Stingray game at Salute last month (their second Stingray game so I could be excused for not thinking they'd cover the ground again), but having got so far in developing mine I thought I might as well just crack on and hang anyone who said I'd copied them

Anyway, the game is pretty much there as far as the rules and the core set of models are concerned, now to get the details and terrain sorted in time for the show!

Gaming pieces may be too large and difficult to transport, dice rolls may be difficult due to the interaction with said pieces...David you need to have a re-think

    Hi David,
mine is black and is very loving. So far she has shown no interest with my ships etc. I'm thinking that one she will find away into my wargaming life, like your two little love ones.

So using "Cat Fish" for bait! Seems like a very clever tactic!!

Ole must be very young or an unusually small Norwegian Forest Cat. To my knowledge they're usually quite large.

Not much of an improvement, really -- NFC aren't much smaller than MCs. And the look on the face....

Actually, Ole looks kinda peaceful, almost like he's waiting for a scratch between the ears--that other little beggar looks like the one teeing up to start some trouble...

Maybe David should have named him "Chris"?

Actually, I have a tuxedo cat with Himalayan (think "longhaired Siamese") genes, and a Siamese/orange-tabby mix -- I am *relentlessly* aware of how much trouble cats can be. (The main problem is: They don't take instruction very well. >:) )

No wonder--you have two with Siamese genes. Siameses are generally trouble on four legs... did I ever tell the story about the feral Siamese that used to live on my property who liked to chase squirrels TO THE TOPS of trees? Not very bright, that one... which may be part of why they cause so much trouble and are so generally ineducable.

[nod] The white Siamese/orange tabby mix came from our feral-cat population (ours is the only backyard not infested with dogs, children, or other nuisances >:) ; so that's where the ferals go to give birth and raise kittens). Most of the kittens show Siamese heritage, but we've never actually *seen* the father (the mothers, before we got them TNRed, were both Tabbies; the only feral male we've seen is a Domestic Lynx...). So somewhere out there is a male Siamese who is causing no end of problems.... >:)

Perhaps you should name one cat 'King Titan' (?).

Well, the tuxedo cat is a female, so naturally she was named "Marlene".... ;)

The white-and-orange cat started out as brilliant white, so naturally The SO named him "Phosphor" (as in "white phosphorus" -- very bright, and very painful to handle). A brief description of his early days with us: http://www.bidalaka.com/picofarad/pf....html#phosphor ....
