What did you use for Santissima Trinidad, or for the British second class? I'm trying to get enough models together for Trafalgar, and I'm closing in, but there are a few ships that are still...
This is fantastic! Where'd the hull and the ship card come from? ST is the big missing piece for me for doing Trafalgar....
...and I'd love to see the Santissima Trinidad and the Indefatigable as Special Edition ships.
We do NOT need more frigates at the moment; what's urgently needed are 64s, 80s, and 90-98s, and lots of everything for Spain (and the Netherlands).
Got mine. The cruciform pegs are a nice improvement! Except that the bottom peg on my Constitution snapped in half at the cruciform part, and now the ship won't sit in the base properly. :-(
The spreadsheet has external links to another file that I don't have. Where do I find it?
They're both Indiamen. See the VoC ensign on the first one?
Actually, the first six volumes are available free from here: http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/15-WhentheTideRisesCD/WhentheTideRisesCD/
Or you can download an .iso and burn a CD from this page:...
It's only peripherally related to the Age of Sail, being a pastiche of the Aubrey/Maturin series, but the first volume of David Drake's RCN series is free on Kindle at the moment:...
If you're firing a carronade, and you're far enough away that it can possibly miss, you're doing it wrong.
Yep, that's the one.
I'm untroubled by that, actually. I think GMT got it right when they separated Flying Colours and Serpents of the Seas into separate games, with the latter being covered by some extra rules that...

I'm still seeing it at a price of $0.00. The rest of the series is $7.99 per volume.
Victory By Any Means: Fire As She Bears! Edition is exactly the thing you're looking for. It's an adaptation of a campaign system for spaceship battles, and there are a couple of spots where that's...
I'm pulling together a spreadsheet to compare my ship inventory with my needs for major battles of the period: GFOJ, Cape St. Vincent, Camperdown, Nile, Copenhagen, and Trafalgar for Napoleonic, and...
The first volume of Dudley Pope's Ramage series is free on Kindle at the moment: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040ZNFMQ/
I have no idea how long it will stay free.
Just snagged a copy, as well as 1805. Couldn't find the Flying Colors expansion, or Serpents of the Seas; I'm especially interested in the latter. We'll see how 1805 stacks up as a SoG campaign...
One more thing: both Perry and Barclay had very severe manning problems, and all the ships in both fleets were critically shorthanded. I'm not sure that the crew track should run past the end of the...
Technically, she's a Lawrence-class brig. But your card is beautiful!
Looks pretty metal to me. \m/__(>.<)__\m/
Did someone say "heavy metal?"

USS Growler/HMS Hamilton would work perfectly for USS Caledonia, and USS Julia/HMS Confiance would work for USS Ariel and USS Scorpion. USS Lady of the Lake is perfect for one of the smaller Lake...
The paintings seem to be split on the subject, when it's possible to tell at all, but I just found a photo from the 200th Anniversary... and she has just her topsails and one jib set, and no...
We did a frigate duel; I had the French one. We circled around at long range; he got some better draws out of the damage bag at first... and then I dialed up head-to-wind suddenly while he was going...
