I use cotton thread with white glue imbedded in it. Hang a weight while drying. Makes the thread stiff.
For running rigging used white thread and colored it with acyrlic paint. Soak, pull, squeeze,...
Very nice.
What scale is that?
I noticed the people in the ship and if 1200 scale those are really small
So your walls are 5-8mm high?
That looks great.
What's it look like realize to SOG ship?
Or Langton ship?
That looks great.
Be need to add something for the stats as they happen.
Extra picture of the boards or a graphic. Would add to the work though.
So where are 1/1200 flags?
Very nice.
Excellent work.
Were the little boat part of the original model?
I think the requirement for rigging is to have no sanity :dazed:.
Just ask my wife .
Thanks. That's great. Perfect.
I bought some small containers from the dollar store to store the damage chits.
I wanted to print the letters in SOG style and place them on the lids.
Are there any stock images of the letter and...
I'll let you know.
I haven't played yet :bleh:
Yes it is. I use a liquid crazy glue (one up from the one with the lowest viscosity).
I glue one end let it dry then pull tension with the other and glue again. The glue takes from 10s to a minute...
Yes my homemade ratlines.
See post #8 in http://www.sailsofglory.org/showthread.php?2610-Home-made-Ratlanes
This were for t be HMS Defense.
Gun ports came that way. I didn't repaint the hull.
Thanks
Definitely easier to appreciate in the pictures than live even with my reading glasses.
Thanks
Yeah the aft ratlines from the HMS Defense wouldn't work so I had to create a 4 lune on my jig. Got it right the first time.
The wave would make me sick if I was on that ship.:bleh:
The...
Here's my second paint and rigging.
Not much difference than the HMS Defense.
The few differences are:
Lower main mast ratlines needed to slightly longer
The lower aft mast ratlines were...
No I haven't.
I've used acrylic spray.
I also used a little crazy glue (very liquid).
It was my first try with the plaster. Unusual that one can get away with a first iteration.
Although I...
Some extra to the ship.
I added waves. It's a piece of heavy weight paper with plaster. Painted and water proofed.
It goes over the ship stand.
The paper was a little too flexible and I'll try...
Thanks.
Yes I thought the model started to pop when the spars were done.
So I take having a giant flag on a giant flag pole is not the natural state.
Ironically I took it off and put it back on.
I noticed people have hung the flag from an extra line on the...
So question, is the small boat in the center of the board the correct color?
To me it seems out of place, too plastic looking.
