It's way beyond what I can do with computers.
Greetings Sea Dogs one and all!
My grandson and I visited CanCon last weekend. Needless to say, there was not one naval game being played!
However, my grandson is right into Wings of War/Glory...
This stuff just keeps falling into my PC.
GMT Games have some other games from the ager of sail. If you load this link you will find links to 3 other games, all age of sail.

I hate to have to tell you guys this, but I picked up my copy of 1805, second hand in excellent condition, from a guy via Boardgame Geek. It cost me U$25.00 plus P&P!
I think I have been a tad...
Just a further thought, that the wind direction in a game could be set to the prevailing wind direction for the scenario location and then varied as per the rules from there.
Ah yes, but where, and when??? That is the question.
Jonas, those Ship Mats look interesting. Did you find them, or did you create them?
Cheers

I have just received this game, which covers the Trafalgar Campaign, and it appears to be a possible scenario generator as well as a most interesting game in its own right. I have also just received...
Hi Ed!
Back home and the package has arrived safe and sound. Great packing job mate, thank you.
Cheers
Thanks mate. It should arrive whilst I am still in Canberra, I get back home on 20 July so will advise you then.
Cheers
See my thread on what I did to my bases Fred! I got rid of the chunky blue part altogether, but it does mean that the ships are stuck to the clear plastic bases.
...
I'm with Chris, I would love removable, and rigid, masts.
Removable sails would be nice too. That would get rid of the plastic between masts and sails. Maybe clip on sails that purists could...
Make that 2 messages, I left my email address off the first one!
I have sent a message Ed with my details.
Ed, do you still have that game for sale?
David, I remember when I was studying Roman History at Uni, there was a book IIIRC, The Roman Imperial Army, which had a great section on the Navy. Like contemporary China, the PLA Navy, the Roman...
Many thanks Eric and Sue!!!
Many thanks Sue!
And if said ship was to win great battles, (rig the rules where necessary), then you might even be encouraged to do further battle and win further glory for her name!!!
You could name one of the ships after her Paul!
