53 years of model building, I finally built my first plastic sailing ship kit, complete with sails and rigging! The Cutty Sark, Academy's 1/350" scale kit:

Right from the box, no mods or changes . . . not sure about its accuracy but that was not the mission, the mission was to do it? So many bits, threads and details. Lots of fun indeed!

Rigging plan is somewhat questionable, but who cares? Next time it will be the U.S.S Constitution . . .

. . . but that is another story for another time. The Cutty Sark was of family interest, seems Mrs. Clipper's grand mother was the personal secretary for the importer of Cutty Sark scotch in Chicago years ago. every year for many years her bonus gift was a new Cadillac with the company ship logo on the doors - great gift, but she could not drive it to church . . . her boss later b ought her furs instead . . .

With an S.O.G. Constitution for size . . . funny the mini was easier to rig than the larger one.

For my next trick I will tackle a ship in a bottle . . .
