Ahoy from afar
Greetings one and all,
I hope you have found the postings on the 'other' forum of interest so far?
While strolling around Hall 2 which is where the ARES stand is located
i came across this:
Attachment 30622
The decks are built for 28mm gaming figures
Attachment 30622
A view of the top deck
Attachment 30623
The gun deck Partial view
Attachment 30624
Each deck is divided into squares (approx 2" square)
The equivalent deck is on a same size card base
placed on a table near by.
The game was crowded so i couldn't get a decent picture
i will try again over the next couple of days.
The 'crew' are played by gamers, the officers by the GM
a fictitious battle rages...the players react accordingly
and can and do die...gruesomely described on action cards!
Thought the ship ~ a pirate ship ~ Naturally! was amazing
I will try to get a chance to chat with e game organisers
and look at the rules...
Update to follow if i can.
Regards, to all.

What scale is it in Simon?
-
The 28mm gaming figures are usually accounted as 6feet from base to top of the hat Alastair, so with a bit of mathmagic, the nearest scale should be in the region of 1:72nd.

You usually call 28 mm 1:64. 1:72 is a little too small for 28. They actually fit better with 20 mm due to traditional metal miniatures are usually thicker than scale modelers miniatures.
